An Irish George III mahogany chest of drawers with heavily carved cabriole legs featuring lion heads and acanthus leaves and further decorated with ormolu caryatids. The top features detailed marquetry in the French taste as was fashionable at the time. A shaped apron and turned columns frame wonderfully coloured drawer fronts. The piece displays a desirable bronzed patination overall. A very useful and attractive piece.
