This wonderfully textural 14 karat gold bracelet would have been made in Europe during the mid 20th Century. The bracelet is constructed of woven 14 karat yellow gold wire which has been twisted into a double braid. To one side small gold beads of gold granulation have been applied and to the other it has been left plain, allowing the wearer to decide which side to face out. The bracelet finishes with a tongue and box clasp which is working well, along with a figure of eight safety clasp for added security. To one side of the clasp there is a monogrammed 'P', likely for the original owner. Marked '585' we believe the piece to be Continental in origin however details of its maker are unknown. A finely crafted example of woven gold jewellery which feels beautifully textural to touch.
